York City, Caruso grew up in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens. His childhood was not especially glamorous. His parents divorced while he was still young, and he was raised largely in a single-parent household. Like many aspiring actors, he spent years trying to break into the entertainment industry before anyone truly noticed him.
